The Mikey Smith Raw Works Festival, named in honour of Jamaica’s prophetic dub poet Michael Smith, is The Watah School’s inaugural week-long exploration of trans-disciplinary works of art. Featuring over 36 artists-in-residence sharing over 33 new works, the festival is curated by Watah’s Artistic Director, d’bi.young anitafrika. Pioneer of dub poetry Lillian Allen is the Festival Guest of Honour.
